failed miserably
yes we are alive. I really thought I would be better about blogging in July than I was in June but it looks like again I failed miserably.... since it is August now. We went to Oregon on a family vacation with Nate and Jenn's family in July. We all had so much fun. It was so beautiful I have lots of fun pics that I need to post. It seems like since we got home we have had one thing after another and it seems like August will be just as crazy trying to pack everything in before the kids start school. I've been wanting to post about our Oregon trip but we did so much and had so much fun I don't know where to begin. I will try and post some pics in the next couple of days.

The 4th of July
We woke up and got everyone ready for the parade. Matt usually doesn't go but he said he would go this year. The kids were excited because Daddy was going . We actually got a good spot for the parade. We had to wait a little while for the parade to start since we were near the end but Matt gave them each a ring pop to keep them entertained. The weather during the parade was so nice because the sun was behind the clouds the whole time. After the parade we walked around the carnival/fair they had at Layton park. The kids had so much fun. We ate, the kids danced and then we went and bought a few tickets for the kids to do the blow up toys. After the fair we went to my mom and dad's house and the kids did the slip 'n' slide . We ate dinner then we loaded up everyone and went to the Clearfield fireworks. We decided to go to fireworks this year instead. This year they had the group Imagine come perform before the fireworks . The group dress up like the Beatles and sing all old Beatles songs. It was fun to hear the old Beatles songs. I grew up listening to all those songs because my dad liked them so much. The kids had fun dancing around and listening to music while waiting for the fireworks. Ellie made a new friend and was dancing and goofing off. It was cute. The fireworks were AWESOME so much better than I expected. We were so tired when we got home. It was a fun day with the family.

Lexi's kindergarten graduation
Graduation Day!!
We also had Lexi's kindergarten graduation in June. She was so excited. They put on a little program and sang alot of cute songs. My camera was having some issues during the program part so my pics didn't turn out too well. After they sang they showed this DVD of all the things they had done this year field trips, parties, etc. At the end of the DVD they showed a picture of each child from the first of the year and compared it to picture of the end of the year to see how much they changed. They played that Billy Dean song "Let them be little" and yes I cried. I'm a big bawl baby but I looked around and I wasn't the only one crying. What am I going to be like when she graduates from high school? They made a copy for each child so that will be fun to look at. After the program we went to her class room for punch and cookies and the kids showed us some fun stuff they had been working on all year. Then we went out to lunch at the Olive Garden and a few minutes after we sat down her teacher walked in and sat next to us. Lexi was smiling from ear to ear. It was pretty funny. I really liked her teacher she was so sweet and fun and it seemed like she really enjoyed teaching. It was fun to volunteer in her class each week and get to know her. She gave me a thank you note and some candy and said how much she enjoyed Lexi in her class. We will miss her!

Well I've come to the conclusion that I'm a horrible blogger. My last post was a month ago :). I really can't believe June is over already. I figured since it is already July I better post a June update .We had alot going on in June and it just seemed like it flew by. I'm going to start with Ellie's b-day. She turned 3 on June 2. Here are some pics of her birthday. I will try to be better about updating in July.

She had such a fun birthday. It's hard to believe she is already 3. She has tons of energy and I spend half of my days chasing her but when she climbs up on my lap and wraps her arms around me and says"I love you Mommy" it melts my heart. She is a sweetie! We love you Miss Ellie Belly
